FIRST EMPEROR – CHINA’S TERRACOTTA ARMY

April 21st, 2009

We had an exciting day at the High Saturday with Thomas. He had his first exposure to art and joined us with our first experience of First Emeror – China’s Terracotta Army.

It was such a beautiful day. We parked several blocks away and pushed Thomas in the stroller taking in the Spring sun. We got to the High and got our time slot appointed. We had over an hour to kill so we decided to take Thomas to the Modern Art exhibit. He did not seem too interested, but it is a little early for him to be taking notice of art. But what can I say, we have to start somewhere right?

Once we go to the First Emperor exhibit it was great. We saw the terracotta statues as they would have been seen hundreds of years ago. Being that close to history is so amazing.

Happy Easter

My first Easter I had lunch at Aunt Debbie’s with the family and dinner with Granddad. It was a great day. Don’t I look cute?

Thomas’ Funny Sounds

Sitting on the bed with Thomas tonight and he started doing something funny with his toy. Check it out.

Thomas’ Tongue

March 24th, 2009

Thomas loves sticking out his tongue now. We think it is hilarious. His other milestones are that he started rolling over about two weeks ago. We still can’t get him to crawl, but he does sit up on his own and he can roll over from his back to his stomach and vice versa. He is really strong and we don’t think he will have any problem getting to the walking stage. He also can stand in his crib holding on to the railing. Personally, I think he is going to be somewhat daring, but aren’t all boys? That’s what we do.

Thomas and cosmic bowling.

March 22nd, 2009

We took Thomas bowling last weekend and had a great time at Junction Lanes in Newnan. He had fun the entire night taking in the blacklights and strobes. Too bad he is not big enough to roll the ball down the lane himself but I am sure he will be big enough before we know it. I was impressed with the scene. Plenty of families having fun bowling, eating hotdogs and sharing laughs.
