Christmas 2008

Posted by Matthew

Our first Christmas with Thomas comes to a close along with 2008. We had a wonderful Christmas sharing time with family and friends. We are so thankful for our family and our health. It has been a wonderful year with the arrival of Thomas at the top of the list followed by a wonderful job, a trip to Maui and many other life changing events. Looking forward into the New Year, I hope that we have the chance to be blessed as much as we have been this past year. Thank you to all of our family and friends for the loving support during our first few months with Thomas.

What does Thomas enjoy doing most?

Posted by Matthew

The activities that Thomas enjoys most is crying and puking with eating coming in for the next favorite thing to do. I honestly think he would eat until he exploded. I have a feeling that this kid is going to put away some food when he starts eating solids. Right now he is being good though laying on my shoulder. He is grunting and looking around. It’s hilarious. Nothing cracks me up more than him looking around. Not sure why it is funny though, it just is.

Speaking of funny, he was pretty funny this weekend with some new talents such as trying eat us. If we got close to his face, he would lean forward and try to eat our faces. Kinda cute, but remember what I said about his passion for eating.

Thomas’ Pacifier

Posted by Matthew

Many have asked about Thomas’ pacifier. It is quite unique I must agree. He received it when he was a newborn at the hospital. After looking closely at it, I discovered that it is called Gum Drop. The website is, www.gumdroppacifier.com. We have four pacifiers other than this one and I will go out of my way to grab this one. It’s easy to wash and Thomas seems to like it better than the other ones. The hospital definitely picked a winner when picking out this pacifier. And for those of you reading this and you have not had children, you don’t even know how important this little device really is. As a parent, you will run five miles through the rain to find the pacifier. And if you have the Gum Drop pacifier, you would do it up hill both ways.

Growing up!

Posted by Matthew

Trying to post some pictures of Thomas because I have not been doing a good job of posting new items. To be honest, I don’t even get to see my computer but about twice a week if I am lucky and that’s to check my email. Thomas is doing great. His hair is growing now and he is gaining weight. He has began talking a bit and tonight I got him to laugh out loud for the first time that I know of. We have also removed his mitts and released his talons. He seems to have control over them now, thank goodness. I am getting him ready soon for Christmas pictures so be on the lookout.
